Morocco`s capital, is one of the largest cities in Morocco, located right on the Atlantic Ocean, with the Bou Regreg River. The meaning of Rabat in Arabic`Fortress. It`s a calm and beautiful city full of gardens and forests. If you are planning to visit Rabat find a place in the city center and as long as you can speak english or frenCh do not worry about the communication.
Oudaias Kasbah, Hassa Tower, Medina, Sale Medina, New city, Chellah Necropolis, Oudaias Museum and the Andalusian Gardens, King’s Palace, Natural Science Museum.
Oudaias Kasbah

It gives you the most amazing views of the Atlantic Ocean, Sale and Rabat`s neighboring city. It was built in the 12th century during the reign of the Almohad Caliphate(AD 1121/1269).
Do not forget to go to the Bazzo street for the Moroccan tea and orangeade at Cafe Maure(overlooks Bab Al Bhar).
Hassan Tower

It is the minaret of an incomplete mosque in Rabat.`Sultan Yaqoub Al Mansour`who gave the order to built the tower that was supposed to be the largest minaret in the world. His death in 1199 stopped construction on the mosque. The construction consist of several walls and 348 columns. The tower reached 44m(140ft), about half of its intended 86m(260ft) height.
The hassan tower is next door to the `Mausoleum of Mohammed V`
Medina

Has an Andalusian style to its buildings as most of the architecture here dates from the 17th century, when Muslims from Spain's Andalusia region arrived. The two best shopping streets are Souk es Sebbat and Rue Souka.
Look out for the Koubba Mosque, the Merenid Fountain and Grand Mosque both on Rue Souka. The Mellah (Jewish Quarter) is in the southeast corner of the medina
Sale Medina

Is quite small and it is not difficult to explore it. The walls around Salé Medina are orange. You will enjoy the architectural beauty of these old buildings. Behind the walls of Medina, there is a great souk.
New city

Chellah Necropolis

It is the most popular tourist attraction in Rabat and houses both Roman ruins and a medieval Muslim necropolis. Abandoned in 1154 and damaged further by the Lisbon earthquake in 1755
Oudaias Museum and the Andalusian Gardens

The museum demonstrate Moroccan art and culture, and the gardens were built by the French in the 20th century, and have traditional Andalusian flowers and shrubs, complete with orange, lemon and banana trees.
King’s Palace

Every big city in Morocco has a palace ready for the King as a guest. Visitors cannot enter the main grounds, admiring the palace from the central pathway is still special.
Natural Science Museum
