Significa quando uma pessoa está muito ocupada ou envolvida com muitas tarefas.

O mesmo que "às vezes".

No sentido de irregular, imprevisível ou errante.

"Entrar": em um lugar. | "Entrar em acordo": com alguém. | "Ir": como ingrediente em uma receita. | "Assimilar": algo. | "Participar": de uma atividade ou grupo

Usually used with "to". "It took time until she could face up to it. He was the only one who faced up to the problem. We need to face up to our fears. Jane had to face up to the possibility of being fired. You have to face up to your responsibilities."

No sentido de aceitar e lidar com um problema ou situação difícil. Também muito usado como "encarar um fato".

Se referindo ao tempo que passou desde um fato específico que aconteceu.

"Falecer": partir. | "Acabar, passar": algo ou fato que deixa de existir. Esse termo passa a sensação de nostalgia ou saudade, de pessoas, situações ou coisas que não estão mais presentes, evocando uma sensação de perda ou lembrança.

Se refere à qualidade de algum produto ou serviço, ou estado da saúde ou do psicológico de alguém.

"Confundir": pessoas ou coisas. | "Misturar".

Também quando queremos dizer que alguma informação não está claro.

"The doctor prescribed a specific dose for the patient. The dosage instructions are clearly written on the label."

Dose quando é administrada de uma só vez. Dosagem é a prescrição da quantidade que deve ser administrada ao longo de um período de tempo.

"This man needs assisted living. They are too old and signed up for assisted living."

No sentido de reunir-se para decidir algo.

"Apagar": fogo ou cigarro. | "Colocar para fora": algo. | "Anunciar, publicar": alguma coisa. | "Causar problema": para alguém

Se referindo a babá ou cuidadores de idosos.

"Vir ou participar": de uma atividade, trabalho ou negócio. | "Entrar": em um local. | "Chegar": num lugar ou posição de uma corrida. | "Entrar na moda".

"It's kinda sad when you don't know the meaning. I’m kinda tired today. She’s kinda late. He seems kinda weird to me."

Outras formas de traduzir: "mais ou menos", "um pouco". Usado de maneira informal para indicar algo que não é exato.

"This bus is heading for New York. The suspect has headed for the bank right after we saw him at the corner. Head for the center of town, and I’ll meet you there. The country is heading for recession. They are heading for trouble."

"Ir para": algum destino. | "Dirigir-se a": algum local. | "Se encaminhar para, se meter em": algo ruim ou negativo.

"Take the book down from the shelf. Let´s take the cupboard down. The helicopter was taken down by enemy guns. The police took down our addresses. They just want to find your weak points to take you down. The opposing team took him down."

"Tirar": algo de cima para baixo. | "Desmontar": algo. | "Derrubar ou abater": uma grande estrutura, aeronave ou pessoa do poder. | "Anotar": informações. | "Prejudicar": algo ou alguém. | "Derrotar": adversário.

Also, but less used: "second from the last".

No sentido de anotar algo rapidamente, por exemplo uma ideia que vem à mente.

Ou seja, chalé de madeira.

Significa a qualidade do que está ciente, atento, advertido.

"The city's economy is flourishing due to new investments. The flowers in the garden bloom in spring. The cherry blossoms are a beautiful sight in the spring."

Todos são verbos e substantivos. O primeiro indica o crescimento ou sucesso de uma planta, carreira, economia ou empresa. O segundo se refere ao florescimento das plantas. O terceiro também aponta ao florescimento, mas com conotação poética e figurativa.

"Just thinking about the accident makes me shudder. A shudder of fear ran through him. There was a tremble in his voice. He trembled at the thought of having to make a speech."

Ambas palavras são usadas como verbo e substantivo. A primeira em situações mais fortes, súbitas e intensas. A segunda em situações mais gerais.

O primeiro é uma notificação de uma autoridade ou tribunal para convocar alguém para comparecer. O segundo é um aviso formal, relacionado a decisões legais, mas não associado a uma convocação para comparecer.
